Kombucha is a fermented tea whose exact origin is difficult to trace since it part of the history of many different cultures. Even though this drink has been enjoyed for centuries there are many controversies surrounding the acclaimed health benefits that the tea provides since there is little scientific evidence to back the benefits. The tea itself is comprised of just a few ingredients and is easy to brew it yourself. Despite how simple the process appears, the fermentation process of this tea is complex and involves microbes that otherwise go unnoticed.
